Swimming Pools

Our mission in the swimming pool program is to assure recreational water facilities in which the public swims meet minimum standards for health and safety. These regulations undertake the design, construction and operation of public swimming pools, spas and similar installations, the purpose of which is to reduce the potential for transmitting communicable diseases associated with aquatic facilities. All pools and spas in Wyoming are required to have a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) to oversee the operation of their licensed facility. Any pool that allows a portion of the public to use the pool must obtain a license after the construction of the pool is approved through the plan review process.
