Vote at Home (Absentee)
1. VOTE AT HOME
Skip the lines, bad weather, and vote in the convenience of your home. Registered voters can request an absentee ballot each election year, beginning Jan 1. Absentee ballots cannot be requested on the day of the election. To request a ballot, visit or call our office 307-633-4242, or email election@laramiecountywy.gov (Subject: Absentee your name). Give us the name under which you are registered to vote, date of birth, your residence and mailing address, email/phone contact and for the primary election, the political party with which you are registered. Allow 7-10 days for your ballot to arrive and another 7-10 days for it to be returned to us.
Make your vote count. Follow the instructions that come with your ballot. Sign the affidavit on the envelope. Return it by mail, deliver it to our office, or use our convenient 24/7, secure ballot depository (drop box), located outside the Laramie County Governmental Complex on Carey Ave, between 19th & 20th St. Ballots arriving after the deadline of 7 pm on Election Day will not be counted.

Want to know when your mail ballot will arrive? Preview your mail before it arrives by signing up for USPS “informed delivery.” For more on the free service, visit https://www.usps.com/manage/informed-delivery.htm.

Who’s at a Polling Place
Poll workers (election judges) at polling places can easily be identified by colored vests. Election judges are an essential part of the overall success of a polling place on Election Day. They are there to help voters register, cast a ballot, and answer any questions they may have.
If you are interested in working as an election judge, please reach out to the Laramie County Clerk's Election Office at election@laramiecountywy.gov or 307-633-4242.
Poll watchers are also present at a polling place on Election Day. Their job is to observe voter registration and turnout. They are certified by a political party to serve in a designated polling place. To become a poll watcher, contact your local party.
