VIN INSPECTIONS can be performed by any law enforcement agency. To have a VIN inspection completed at the Sheriff's Office, you must park in front of the building (on either side of the street, on Pioneer Avenue between 19th and 20th Streets). Bring your title, bill of sale or registration and driver’s license. If you are a Laramie County resident and it is not practical to bring your vehicle to us, you can also call 637-6525 to have a Sheriff's Deputy respond to your location.

HOW TO SUBMIT RECORDS REQUEST:
Business: Request on letterhead giving information regarding the case. Case #, Names, Dates of birth, Date and Location of incident. Include an email for return.
Private Citizens: Written/Typed request to include information regarding case. Case #, Names, Dates of birth, Date and Location of incident. To verify your identity the request must be signed and notarized with the use of a Notary Certificate.
The request can be scanned and uploaded to your email with a short description to go with your request.
Requests will take 7-10 days to be processed. However, some situations may take up to 30 days.
