Registering to Vote

Register at the office of the Laramie County Clerk, your Town Clerk, or at the polls during early voting or on Election Day. Bring your Wyoming driver’s license or ID and if you do not have one, bring an accepted government-issued ID, such as a military ID, US passport or other driver’s license.  Call our Election office for more information 307-633-4242 or visit the WY Secretary of State’s website for registration requirements and acceptable IDs for registration.  Wyoming does not offer online registration and you are not automatically registered to vote when you get your Wyoming driver’s license.

Update Your Registration

Update your name or address at office of the Laramie County Clerk or your Town Clerk, except during early voting or on Election Day when you will make those changes at the polls. Bring your Wyoming driver’s license or ID and if you do not have one, bring an accepted government-issued ID.  Just updating your address?  You can call our Election office at 307-633-4242.

Changing Party Affiliation

You can change your party affiliation at the Clerk’s office up until May 15, 2024, that’s the day before Primary Election candidate filing. Wyoming law does not allow registered voters to change party affiliation at the polls for primary elections.

For the General Election, party changes can be made until Oct 21, 2024, during early voting or on General Election Day. Acceptable government-issued ID is required to make party changes and voters must sign their registration form before a registry agent.
