Danny L. Glick

Sheriff Glick has worked his entire 30+ year career in Laramie County with the Sheriff's Office.

Danny began his career as a Patrol Deputy in July of 1981. In 1985 he was promoted to the Detective Division. In 1987 he was transferred to the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigations, working drug investigations for two (2) years.

In 1989, Danny transferred back to the Sheriff's Office, working in the Detective Division for one (1) year. In 1990 he transferred back to the Patrol Division where he worked his way up the through the ranks from Corporal to Sergeant, achieving the rank of Lieutenant during the Barrett administration.

In November 2002, the citizens of Laramie County elected Danny for his first term as Sheriff, and was re-elected for his second term in 2006.

In 2007, Danny was elected President of the Wyoming Sheriff's Association. Due to the support he received from the members of the Wyoming Sheriff's and Chief's Association Danny was elected 4th Vice President of the Wyoming Sheriff's and Chief's of Police, and appointed the Wyoming Representative to the Western States Sheriff's Association.

Danny served as a member of the National Sheriff's Association's Drug Enforcement and Legislative Affairs committees, and Vice-Chair of Emergency Technologies.

In 2008, Danny was elected by members of the National Sheriff's Association to their Board of Director's.

In 2009, Danny was elected to the office of Sergeant at Arms for the National Sheriff's Association Executive Board.

In November 2010, Danny was re-elected by the citizens of Laramie County for his third term as Sheriff.

In 2010, Danny was elected to the office of Treasurer for the National Sheriff's Association Executive Board.

In 2011, Danny was elected to the office of Secretary, for the National Sheriff's Association Executive Board.

In 2011, Danny was also selected as "Sheriff of the Year" by the Western States Sheriffs' Association.

In 2011, Danny was elected to the office of treasurer, for the National Sheriff's Association Executive Board.

In 2012, Danny was elected as the 3rd Vice President for the National Sheriff's Association Executive Board. During the year 2012-2013 Danny also held the office of President for the Wyoming Sheriffs' and Chiefs of Police (WASCOP) Association.

In 2012, Danny was also appointed to the Governors Council on Impaired Driving.

In 2013, Danny was elected as the 2nd Vice President for the National Sheriff's Association Executive Board. Sheriff Glick was appointed by the Governor to the State of Wyoming's Pari-Mutuel Commission during this same year.

Danny is currently serving on the Public Lands Committee for the Western States Sheriff's Association, the Global Law Enforcement Committee, Congressional Affairs Committee, Awards Committee and Management Sub-Committee for the National Sheriff's Association.

Danny has over 2500 hours of law enforcement training and has several credit hours from Laramie County Community College.
