VIN & HIN INSPECTIONS

Are done by the following law enforcement agencies:
Cheyenne City Police Department, 415 W. 18th Street
Laramie County Sheriff's Office, 1910 Pioneer Avenue
Wyoming Highway Patrol, 5300 Bishop Boulevard

The Laramie County Sheriff's office does VIN inspections Monday - Wednesday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm and Thursday - Friday 8:00 am - 11:00 am. You must park in front of the building (on either side of the street, on Pioneer Avenue between 19th and 20th Streets). Bring your title, bill of sale or registration and driver’s license.

If you are a Laramie County resident and it is not practical to bring your vehicle to us, a Laramie County Sheriff's Deputy can do the inspection where the vehicle is located seven days a week in between other calls for service from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department, 5400 Bishop Boulevard can do HIN (hull identification number) inspections, but not VIN inspections on vehicles or trailers, including boat trailers.
